Forest

During my BA (hons) Fine Art degree at Newcastle University I built a practice exploring natural materials and their traces as a way of interpreting my personal relationships with the earth. I began collecting materials for my work predominantly from forests, assembling multiple elements within each piece.

For my degree show I exhibited two installation pieces.

In Forest approximately 150 wild clay ceramics are woven in to a paper sculpture.

Like flashes of memory, you catch glimpses of imagery you can’t quite piece together.
